PROGRAM

ESSENTIAL OILS

In a country that safeguards 5% of the world’s biodiversity, our commitment is to capture the pure essence of nature to deliver medicine and well-being. This program is dedicated to extracting the “soul of the plant,” concentrating its medicinal and aromatic properties into high–value-added products that honor the richness of our environment.

RADICAL AUTONOMY & LOCAL TRANSFORMATION

This is our most decentralized initiative, demonstrating that transformation and refinement are not exclusive to industry, but a shared asset of the community. Here, producer families manage the entire cycle: from cultivating perennial species to operating their own stills for steam distillation.

Producers themselves separate the floral water, filter the oil, and carry out the final packaging, achieving near-total productive autonomy. We work with local treasures such as Juanilama, for which we have successfully chemically referenced four distinct chemotypes. CoopeCuna, a women-led cooperative in the Caribbean region, stands as the most complete example of this productive autonomy.

SCIENCE, EDUCATION & VOCATION

Beyond supplying the national market, this program functions as a living classroom. We bring distillation experiences into technical schools to inspire new generations, demonstrating that rural life can be synonymous with science, quality, and value.

While communities lead production, Flora Nueva provides technical support by coordinating scientific studies and laboratory analyses to validate the quality of therapeutic innovations—such as Brontox, our expectorant developed in response to the need for natural solutions in times of crisis.
